This sounds like a bad battery. With a digital voltmeter, check the battery voltage at the battery terminals with the car off. It should be 12.6 V. With the car running look for between 13.2 V and 14.2 V depending on the temperature. If the battery is low to start, but the charging voltage is correct, then it is the battery. If the voltage is low when the car is running then it is either a bad connection (ground or positive) or a bad athernator, most likely the brushes if the alternator has over 100K miles on it.
Batteries can go bad in a year. I have had good luck with Interstate batteries, but I did have one fail after a year. The parts store gave me a new one when I brought it in.
