Yikes, don't cut that hose. That's an a/c hose, not a coolant hose. I've never heard of this kit, it seems weird that it's telling you to cut any hoses... what do you do after you finish the flush and the hose is cut?
You don't say what year your car is, but I suspect both of the hoses you're looking at are for the a/c. The "water pump" you see is probably the a/c compressor. The two coolant hoses that go through the firewall are behind the engine, about halfway down. They go to and from the heater core.
I would forget the kit, and do as Abusot says, except I would not use tap water because. Use only distilled water in the cooling system. That includes flushing, because a lot of the water you use for flushing will remain in the system.
