Possible O2 Sensor Problems

Hi Guys,
I hope some of you can help me with my latest problem. I took the my 95 9000 to a mechanic today to replace my serpentine belt, tensioner, O2 sensor, and a gas filter. The O2 sensor was a Bosch universal fit number 15735.
Unfortunately when they finished the car they had a very hard time starting it which I figured was due to the new gas filter. The car also had a total lack of power and misfires, if you try to step on the gas hard, while dying out. WHile trying to get the car home the check engine light came on and the engine just dies out to the point where if you don't pull over for a few it will have absolutely no power to drive at all. If you let it sit for a moment you will have a little more power to move on. The first thing the mechanics tried to say is that the O2 sensor wasn't the original.
I have to take the car back to them in the morning but it would be a good idea if I have an idea what they might have done wrong.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
Darius
