My take on it is that these cars are sport touring cars, not full on sport cars. They have very predictable, precise handling right out of the box, so why try to make into something its not?
The only upgrage I have done is put bigger tires on it, 205 instead of 195, which gives slightly better traction. While I haven't done it, the only other suspension upgrade I would do is to put urethane bushings on the front sway bar, it supposedly lessens body roll, which is not bad at all with stock bushings. Cheap and effective.
