Hi.
I had occasion to remove my glovebox yesterday and while I could
easily reach it, I used pliers to gently but firmly move the lever
that pushes the heat control cable - worked it back and forth, then
started the car and watched as it began moving on its own again.
My theory at this point is that the heat control flap (?) got a bit
stuck from disuse all summer, and it took more oomph than the wee
actuator has to get it free.
Newest trouble:
Now that I have heat, I get blazing hot air from the time the car is
warmed up until I am done driving and shut it off !!!

It now seems likely that the lever at the front must have sheared off.
I have read that there is a repair part for that lever - has anyone
here used it, and could you point me to the best source ?
(I hope this post succeeds in being seen after being buried for a
while...)
