like most things in life... it depends....
depending upon the error, and the frequency since the last occurence of that same error, and the total number of occurences of sufficient errors of that error... catching my breath... yes.
and the good part is that when you rectify the error condition, depending upon the error, it will clear itself after a specified number of "drives" of a certain distance/time/speed.
Errors of misfiring with a new DI and plugs since march most likely mean the plugs need to be regapped. as they wear the gap widens and the system doesn't like a wide gap. try to set just under 1.0 vs the 1.1 spec. The DI system is really pretty slick. If you do an adaptation run the computer will adjust timing AND boost on the system. And, it can adjust the timing on a *per cylinder basis*, so 1) proper plugs with proper setup are critical, 2) if you remove the battery for a sufficent time the settings will be lost and need to be recreated. An adapatation run will be needed. (do a search on adaptation run) to get everyone setup properly.
Also, have you replaced any tailight bulbs? It's a long story, but the short version is that incorrect bulbs in the right hand cluster (single filament in dual filament socket and vice versa...) can do a number of the computer and also upset the DI. you get symptoms like the DI is misfiring at speed. The typical huh huh huh under load at speed. Bought a car setup incorrectly as above. Noted bulbs were out and replace in pairs left/right with new, *** as you should do, the resistance is left to right is critical to determine bulb issues *** and the problems ALL WENT AWAY. drove back to San Diego from Nashvile without a hitch. Recounted my experience to both a shop and a buddy Saab Master and they confirmed strange goings on with the correct incorrect setup. (say that slowley...)
Basically get your error cold (CEL) and decode it. Fix the problem. Drive it a dozen or so short drives of a least 35-55 mph (again, differs depending upon the error) and you should see the display reset *itself*
