Head gasket? Maybe? Posted by PGAero [Email] (#1143) [Profile/Gallery] (more from PGAero) on Thu, 19 Oct 2006 11:08:03 In Reply to: Car Won't Start Now. Please Help! If a head gasket goes, it is common to get the high pressure combustion gasses to pressurise the coolant system. This can cause water to leak out the system.
The no-start problem can be caused from wet spark plugs due to the water in the cylinders. Additionally, if the combusted gasses do pressurise the coolant system (a common symptom of bad head gasket) that excess pressure can cause coolant to seep into the cylinders once the engine is turned off. That can cause a water-lock issue with the cyclinders, causing the car to not only not start, but be unable to even turn over.
Let us know what happens.

(New head gasket at 50K... I don't think the coolant had been flushed but maybe once since the car was new, meaning I got a car with X-year old coolant... bad for a head gasket.)
