Hello,
I have a 1987 9000T with Konis, front strut brace, large SAS sway bars F/R, stiffer Abbot Wishbone bushings 205/50/16s I want the car to handle better but not knock my fillings out. I live in Lake Tahoe and store the car during the Winter. But I need some clearance when I take my car on a dirt road if I go mountain biking so a 2" drop doesn't work for me. Also what's the best set up for better handling I.E sway bar, spring alignment settings?
1) My drivers Springs are sagged 3/4 of an inch more than the passenger side. I had Intrax springs and didn't like them at all they lowered the car close to 2" and made the car bounce and twitchy, I feel this was to much unless it's a track car. I want to lower the Saab only about 1 inch NOT 2" any ideas what's the best spring set for ride quality and handling and who sells them for a good price? I would also like to add Spring spacers of 1/2" if I have to lower my car 1 1/2 " any idea who's sells spacers?
2) What's the best alignment for street performance driving that wont wear my tires out in 5000 miles?
3) My Car has a tweaked 2.3L head on a 2.0L with full 3 or 2.5" exhaust, Red injectors, Red APC, custom hybrid Turbo and waste gate, vacuum retard, KN. The cars very fast but torque steers to the left very bad under power?
The car was just aligned has new tires. Could the spring Sag cause this? Most of my mounts are ok and tight my shocks are good. Should I look at any particular mounts the lower one on the passenger side may be a bit worn? Any tricks of the trade to reduce left torque steer? Is this a way of life after 240HP?
4) I have large? 1" SAS sway bars front and rear is this the best set up or is it better large front sway bar and stock rear sway bar? TRACK guys should know the real deal?
Thanks for all the handling tips and pointers.
P.s I posted this a few days ago, I appreciate the feedback, but wanted more opinions during the weekend?
