That is correct I believe.
If vac line comes off or breaks boost gage wont work, and the ecu will not get a boost reading and will default to base boost a loss of 50hp or so.
The line will enter the passanger compartment on the driverside of the intake manifold just to the passanger side of the master cylander.
Check this line to see if it is cracked there, or unpluged. If you dont see a leak there, pinch the line going into the car and see if there is a change in air sound, if there is a leak there should be an air sound near the line even if the leak is inside the car.
