I previously posted that occasionally my TCS light would come on and the car would go into limp home mode, but all I had to do is turn the car off and count to 30 and all would be well when it was re-started. People on this site suggested that it was probably the throttle body and I should get the codes read at the dealership. This morning I did just that, and it did turn out to be the TB, but when I drove to the dealership the car was running fine. When I got in my car to leave, the TCS light was on and I was in LHM. Now my turn the car off trick no longer works - it stays in LHM! Could the dealership have done anything that would greatly accelerate the demise of my Throttle Body? Would reading the codes re-set my ECU or something like that? Before the codes were read the car was running fine - after they were read it is now running horrible. I suppose it might be a coincidence that my TB decided to completely call it quits while it was at the dealership, but that seems to be a stretch. What do you guys think - should I be suspicious of the dealership? Although they did agree to me getting a rebuilt TB and them installing it as opposed to trying to force me to nuy a new one from them at $820. By the way - my car is a '95 9000 Aero 5spd, slightly modified.
