Just a thought....
If you haven't already, search here for posts on the 'TCS safety valve'. Before I thought of replacing the throttle body I would make sure I had good silicone vacuum hoses (important, don't overlook), and a known-good (new) TCS safety valve installed.
I have a '93 Aero with 175K and I've had TCS problems that mimic yours twice (goes from restarting clearing LHM to starting in LHM always), both times it's been the safety valve on the firewall.
Anders, a saab master tech on this board who posts as SWEDECAR has indicated in the past that he considers the safety valve a maintenace item that should be replaced at regular intervals. Even if it doesn't solve your problem this time, it's essential to staying LHM free in the long run, plus it's only $90 from eeuroparts, and you can install it at home.
Good luck, LHM sucks for real... AMG
