I disconnected the sensor cable when I had to weld a new flexpipe to the exhaust. Found it easiest to remove right wheel, fender liner and plastcover under fender. Reach behind engine and under intake manifold and disconnect cable at connector. Unscrew bolt (holding heater pipe) on side of engine and lift the cable out of its clips. Unscrew bolt under AC-compressor (12 mm AFAIR). Hard to see this bolt, - I found it easiest to reach from top and feel my way to it.
If you don't succeed in finding this bolt, remove the 3 bolts holding the AC compressor, disconnect the power cable to the compressor an put the compressor aside (not necessary to disconnect hoses). The sensor cable is attached to bottom bolt of the AC bracket.
