If you pull out the tranny dip stick when the car's cold. The fluid level should be around the spring that joins to the plastic part of the dip stick with the min max levels.
To check, warm the car up 15-30min drive, leave it running park on level ground, Hand brake on. Foot on brake
Select Drive 15 secs
Select Reverse 15 secs
Select park leave engine running
This process alows the fluid to circulate through the valve body you get a more accurate level.
If the rad fan is cycling on you should use the 80ºc marks.
