Ok this is getting expensive.
My clockspring failed a few months ago and I finally replaced it last week. Only after about 400 miles I heard a small plastic snap in the column and the wheel seemed to lock up on me again. This time I tried not to force it and pull out the clock spring without steering more than +- 20 degrees until I stopped. It is damaged but not as bad as the original which came out in pieces. <Whether or not I can save this one is not the issue at the moment.>
What could I have done wrong installing it?
For what it's worth my steering wheel is not stock, from a 2004 95 aero installed by PO. I do not have original steering wheel.
