What about the remote/switch in console? Posted by Ari [Email] (#2847) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Ari) on Fri, 2 Feb 2007 06:14:38 In Reply to: Intermittent power locks, adamK, Thu, 1 Feb 2007 16:46:31 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Does the remote work OK? Does the lock/unlock switch in the center console work OK? Does locking/unlocking the passenger door actuate the central locking OK?
If both the remote and center console switch work OK, it's probably not the controller. Most likely it is the switch at the door lock. There is a separate microswitch at the door lock that senses if you lock or unlock the door - it's not in the actuator. My guess is that the lever that actuates that switch is a little loose, and it doesn't always make good contact. It requires removing the door inner panel (not hard) and basically poking around.
