I'd prefer having my car towed by 2 hooks on the control arms. look at the threads and that skinny bracket on the screw-in eye. I'd trust that about as far as I could throw it.
The car is rugged, and no damage will be caused by pulling on the control arms. Its being pulled with equal force on each side instead of having all of the force on the eye-side, and is pulling on arms that are well-anchored on the car.
I wouldn't lose sleep over it.
