This problem has surfaced a lot lately, especially with 97-98 9Ks. I've had it for over a year with both of my 9000s. Soldering the "black box" connections may help. I believe most is in the actuators, where one gets sticky and impacyts the others. Watch thelock pulls as they go up and down to see if one is slower than the others. I have a dead one on one car. The linkages may also be freezing up. This takes lubrication. Also, check all connections - clean and reconnect in each door.
Good luck. I have experienced all of your symptoms. I bought two used actuators but have not installed them yet. I have learned to live with the problems. 90% of my faults are trying to lock the car. I lock the car just with the button on the button try before I park the car (motor running) and then manually unlock my side before getting out. Then use either the remote or key. It keeps from making a few trips around the car.
