Hot Weather/No Start Posted by Andy [Email] ![]() ![]() |
I hope someone can help me with this. Last fall, it was still very hot. In the mornings, when it was cool, my 88 9000 turbo started up right away. However, that afternoon, after work, I'd go out to the parking lot, get in the driver's seat, turn the key in the ignition, and... nothing. It would not start. No clicks, no buzzes, no sounds in the affect of starting the engine. After several attempts of turning on and off, it might start after about 10 - 20 turns of the key.
All winter, in the coolness of the weather, I did not have any problems with it. We had one day of warm weather a couple of weeks ago, and again, the nonstart symptoms happened. would start. I thought it might be the starter, so I replaced it this past weekend. However, today, it happened again; so, I'm thinking it is not the starter.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
