R. Frist. I agree with you that the higher color temperatures are bad for dispersion. I use standard "old school" bulbs in my low beam sockets, and Silverstars in my high beams. I do like the Silverstars, but I prefer my 65W halogen low beam bulbs just fine. I've considered doing silverstars in there in the summer, when fog is non-existent, but I'm happy with them the way they are now.
I can see HID lights mitigating some of the dispersion factor since their beams are so much more focused. But, as for putting blue bulbs in reflector/refractor headlights, it doesn't help in the fog.
