First, sorry about the double post. Never got the confirmation page, just a "thinking" browser.
Anyway, I just checked the BFG website. Their recommended fix for "underinflated" tire wear (like mine and yours) is to run your tires at the recommended tire pressure. Sounds like we both did that through the life of the tires.
I wonder if the 9000 is simply bigger and heavier than most current cars running that size of tire? It seems like it's just not enough tire for the car. Perhaps the V-rated tires have stiffer side walls and would realize less shoulder wear? Hmmm... maybe I'll go talk to the BFG dealer in my town (The only one in my town... which is, admittedly, my favorite source for all automotive service in my county, since there is no Saab-specialist indy or dealer around.)
