I was there not too long ago (almost 22 now and the parents bought me the car when I was 16, but close enough!).
The hoses on the BPC are easy enough to attach. The BPC is labeled as to where each of the 3 hoses should connect. The toughest part is needing to get the car on a lift or on ramps to get enough space to work under there.
I had my indy connect up the BPC because I was a busy high schooler at the time, but since I've become a lazy college student, I've poked around there enough to know that I could have done it.
Pretty soon you'll be planning another upgrade (I'm going for a remapped ECU and new intake this summer!), but this is an excellent start! You'll be amazed at the difference!
