only consolation is that I have driven it through winter for another 5k without any groans or whines other than at full lock...
In summer I must be the only one in Provence driving a saab 9k. There is a dealer in Avignon....
A few years ago I had the middle muffler replaced there. It took them a day and they had never seen such a car (1995 griffin). was more of an attraction than a serious repair object I guess..:-))
They were complaining about the rust on the exhaust flange. I told them than in The Netherlands we sometimes have this wet stuff called rain and snow. LOL
I will take a closer look at the pump, try to spin it an look for play and unusual noises.
The ' dump takes places at the pump towards the front of the car. The pulley stays reasonably out of the firing line. Which is just as well since belts and PS fluid do not mix well..
