intermittent A/C on '97 9000 CS Posted by geoguy [Email] (#711) [Profile/Gallery] (more from geoguy) on Mon, 14 May 2007 09:39:30 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
A couple of times during the past week, the ACC would be calling for cool air, but the air being delivered was at ambient outside temperatures.
It eventually comes on if I fiddle with the ACC buttons (i.e. Auto to Econ & back a few times), or sometimes if the car is re-started. I haven't seen it stop working when the car is running; it is simply either working or not when I start the car.
I tried cleaning the A/C relay contacts (both male pins & female sockets, with a spray-on contact cleaner), but the A/C is still intermittent . . . sometimes works, sometimes not.
Should I just replace that relay? Or is there a more likely culprit? I would like to have it working reliably before I leave for Carlisle this Friday!
TIA,
- Mark
