I understand your point, & frankly I wasn't sure that I would notice a difference.
But, I recently bought a roll of felt tape, planning to use it to quiet all the creaking from plastic-to-plastic items rubbing on the dashboard. It really was obnoxious, & very obvious when cornering.
Now the dashboard is relatively free of squeaking & creaking noises. I agree that the perception of the car feeling more solid is very subjective, but the lack of dashboard flexing sounds is not.
If you know anyone who has this brace, I suggest going for a ride on a bumpy & curvy road, both with & without the brace installed. I think you'll be surprised & impressed. If you're in eastern Massachusetts, drop me a note & we can perform this experiment with my car.
Anybody want to buy a roll of felt tape? :)
