92 9000 signs of aging: clutch & washer fluid resevoir

I've got a 92 9000 5-speed pushing the 200K boundary. It's had some minor issues-has a swapped radiator,etc.-but still runs pretty great. Two issues: one is the master cylinder going out on the clutch. Got a price on a new one from Autozone, seems pretty good-any other good sources? Also, is that cylinder located under the dash or behind the firewall on that model? Would there be anything else on the clutch that could give out that would be more of an inventment than the master cylinder?
The second thing is that my washer fluid resevoir seems to have sprung a leak for no good reason. The light came on yesterday morning; I poured in a full gallon last night; it's bone dry again this morning. It looks to me like the spout for the tank runs through the car's frame. How do I get a good look at the resevoir and test for leaks. Is swapping one out a major operation?
Thanks.
