Dismantling Parts Cars - What to keep?

The "fleet" of 9000 parts cars has grown again and it's time to get rid of a few of them. In the past, before taking a car to the junkyard, I pulled as many parts as reasonable -- but it always seems like such a waste to send a car to the scrapyard when there are usable parts on it.
Although I can always find room for smaller parts (electonics, starters, alternators, radiators, etc), there are some parts that I don't pull/keep that might be useful to others as "cores" (heads, calipers, axles, etc.)
I even saw ebay listings for powder coated valve covers and I am sure that seller could use some cores.
Also, since rear leather seats tend to be in excellent condition, I wonder if people find new homes for them - perhaps as comfortable seats for sitting around a bonfire??
I am not trying to get rich from selling parts, but I hate to "throw away" money that could be spent on the cars. Even if I could only get $10 for a set of 4 caliper cores, it's $10 to spend on the next 9000 that becomes available! :-)
I would appreciate hearing other peoples' thoughts about where to "draw the line" when dismantling a 9000 before taking it to the scrap yard... and I would also appreciate any creative suggestions for handling the parts that I don't keep as spares.
