Alternator repair, out of car.

A few months ago I tried replacing the voltage regulator in car. Disaster. It was not really neede, just maintenence at 160k mi. Now it is showing a 'wobbly' light voltage, and the AC was flashing on and off. Time to finish the job.
I needed to pull the alt out of the car. Did the regular jack it up, put on jack stands, pull passenger wheel, wheel liner, remove belt, remove ps bracket.....??????!!!!! Damn, '95CSE, Haynes does not have directions on removing ps bracket.
What I found was in addition to the two bolts through the pulley, there are two below the alternator, and under the alt. I don't know how to describe the four bolts under the alt, but going to try. There is one that is most easily removed before the alt bolts are removed. It is visibile from the top towards the back(plastic) side of the alt. Do it first, then remove the two bolts through the wheel well on the bottom. Then slide the alt off and back as far as you can to remove the 6th bolt which is covered by the alt.
So, 6 bolts to remove the ps bracket, 2 to remove the alt. Royal PIA. But it worked. Just some encouragement, or the opposite for future alt removals. Read all of the other past posts, as all I am adding is # of ps bolts, which is 6, and a bit about their location.
And I will admit that about halfway through this job I was wishing I'd turned it over to my indy. No shame in letting someone who knows this job do it. In case you do it, hope this helps.
