Just thinking out loud. Not having engaged in any tuning of my Saabs for performance (I just keep 'em stock), I'm really out of my element here. But just for argument's sake:
Could your open air intake be partly responsible? Unless of course yours breathes in air from, say, inside the fender? If it's taking in air in the engine compartment then this will be abnormally hot air, making it less oxygen-rich and also perhaps telling the Trionic to take it easy on boost to stave off knock.
If it's just on the hair edge of acceptable air temp, maybe the fluttering is the product of Trionic making boost limitations, then releasing them, in fast succession?
