It's not the DI hesitation, I've definitely experienced that before in my last 9000 Aero. It was a boost fluttering, not really hesitation, but noticeable to a keen Saab driver.
Also, I didn't put the downpipe in because I was just replacing the stock exhaust because it had some holes in it. Didn't want the extra noise and didn't want to spend more, and also have to deal with fitting the O2 sensor in the DP. I had one on my last Aero and I definitely loved the extra power, but I'm trying to keep this car as stock as possible. I'm done with modifications I think.
I drove in to see Walter Wong today in LA and resolved the problem. Turns out it fluttering because of the altitude I was driving at. The car lived its whole life in Chicago and we were driving at 6000 or so feet in Utah/Denver. Thanks for everyone's input!
