I just replaced my turbo with a rebuilt unit from a turbo rebuilder. As soon as I started it up, it began blowing smoke like an insect fogger. Then I found oil almost pouring from the exhaust side of the turbo. I could hear it sizzle as it dripped down the downpipe. Sent it back and the guy said he couldn't really find anything out of specs. However, he replace parts and sent it back and it works fine now. I was a bit pissed that I had to do the job twice.
So, don't know what to say about yours, except maybe you have a similar problem as mine, which was unexplained.
