This is probably the most common malady that all of us have experienced at one time or another. You will find hundreds of postings on this, most of them containing what to look for.
There are many reasons why low-/no- boost would suddenly occur. One thing that I stress to everyone when diagnosing this headache is to test the small check valve in the PCV system. This valve is in the smaller of the two hoses coming off of the nipple coming out of the top of the crankcase (right/passenger side of engine). You should only be able to blow air through it towards the intake manifold. If air passes both ways, it needs to be replaced. This can cause boost problems.
But search this board on topics of "no boost", "low boost", "boost issues", etc. There's a lot of tips posted in those threads.
Good luck!
Joe
