Following some investigation to the possible cause, I began a new series of tests. The dealer was unable to find the problem, however, they said there is oil in cylinders 2 and 3. Hard to tell initially if it is excess fuel or oil, but they say it is oil and therefore the ignition cannot ignite these 2 cylinders and therefore there they are flooding and the engine runs horribly below 3000 rpm and impossible to maintain idle with holding the accelerator.I performed a leakdown test to check all cylinders. I found no leaks in either exhaust and intake valves nor the crankcase through the dipstick tube. The pressure that I was able to maintain in each cylinder, with their respective valves closed, was 70-80 lbs. This is not to be confused with the compression test that gave readings of between 140 and 160 lbs. Has anyone on the board had to test their oil rings? Is the leakdown test the final test for determining whether oil rings are sealing? I have not been driving the car since my last posting.
