DI Cassette Issue/Electrical weirdness

About a week ago my 98 CSE stopped dead during a rainstorm. Car was towed to a garage (my wife was driving it at the time), where they diagnosed a bad DI. Car smelled like burned electronics, which seemed to confirm diagnosis.
As luck would have it, I had a spare DI that I had them install. Got the car back and it ran rough a bit, but seemed OK after it warmed up.
No problems over the weekend, with some long highway miles thrown in.
Yesterday, after a 30 minute highway drive, on restart, idle was rough, but car ran OK.
Later in the afternoon, after some stop and go city driving, car ran rough all the time, CEL flashing, no power, etc. It was also raining yesterday. Since the DI they installed was used, can't verify how good it was.
Have a new DI on order, but want to make sure there isn't some other underlying problem that's eating up DI's.
I will replace plugs at the same time, even though the current plugs are stock and only a few months old.
Any points that might be sensitive to moisture? Anything else to look at?
Car ran fine prior to last week with good power and idle.
Thanks
Ron
