Right after I wrote this I went out and put in new spark plugs and another DI that I had. I don't know for sure if the DI I put in was 100% as I switched it out about a year and a half ago trying to fix a problem. The problem was not fixed with the new DI so I believe that the second unit that I have is still good. I drove the car around and it seemed fine until i tried to push it a little harder and then it started misfiring again but not as bad. It seems to do start under load, but i don't know if it is boost or throttle position related. I'm going to go back out and do some more testing.
on another note, the CEL that comes on is flashing 6 times which i believe is the o2 sensor. However, originally when the car started doing this in July, I switched out the o2 sensor for a good one and it had no effect. This makes me believe that it is not the o2 sensor that is being faulty.
