The "ACC" just means the controls for the air conditioning/climate control, and it's very easy just to get a very thin tool into the joints round this black box and prise it out towards you. It should come out easily, but you don't want to scratch the dash edges. There is a big plug and cable on the back, very simple to remove this or you can just let everything hang out on the cable

Alternatively, you can take out the radio to get a hand up behind the ACC. To remove the radio means pushing a removal tool - could be one you buy, or nails or wire cut from an old coat hanger - into the hole or holes at the outer edges of the radio front panel, far enough so as to push back the latches that hold the radio in place. If you plan to disconnect the radio, make sure you know the code so you can wake it up later. If the code isn't written down somewhere a dealer should let you know the code if you quote the VIN number and persuade him/her that you actually own the car. People sometimes write it on the radio itself, or in the handbook. Poor security but at least you can listen to the radio again!

Finally, you can take out the ashtray unit. If you remove the tray itself, and get your head down level with it, you'll see that there are two clips along the top edge if the unit (inside) you can lever down with a small, flat screwdriver. Once these latches are free the whole thing should slide out towards you (still connected to the lighter wiring of course).

In all cases the idea is to give you space to get a hand behind the dash so you can ferret around. While doing this, avoid disrupting any other electrics (always do all this with the ignition off anyway).
