You would need to see if it is possible to retract the piston back into its cylinder. These calipers have only one piston. To do this, you would need to dismount the caliper. However, if corrosion within the cylinder prevents any piston retraction, it will be very hard to get the caliper off the brake disc. And if you do manage to get it off, impossible to get it back on. In this situation, disassembling the caliper is really the only way to get it off the disc.
I've always just diagnosed this particular problem by going for a drive with only mild braking, then holding my hand near the caliper to see if it radiates heat. It's unmistakably hot.
I'd get eeuroparts rebuilt calipers. Change brake fluid at least every 2 years to minimize corrosion. Good luck.
