...and again AFTER. You can mess up the TB otherwise, and at a minimum, the TB may not operate properly.
There's also a chance that you have a permanent LHM code in the ECU, and you'll need an ISAT or Tech II to remove them. Had that happen to me.
Also, I'd try replacing the safety valve first. $80 part. No recalibration required. First, before buying the new part, take the identical part connected to your cruise control and plug it in at the firewall location. The cruise valve is on the driver's side, near the battery. Only difference is a different mounting bracket.
If you try this, do yourself a favor and be sure to label the cruise's vacuum hoses BEFORE you remove them from the valve. Ensures that when you replace the valve and reattach the hoses, all will be correct, and no guesswork will be required.
