Thanks, Eric. I'll have to go to a saab mechanic to get the codes off a tech II, so it'll be a couple of days before that happens, but please check back.
The throttle body on the car seems newer than the spare I have, at least in terms of appearance and the shape that the o-ring is in. I do have a couple of questions. The first is whether the operational mode my car is now in is a result of whatever is wrong with my car, or the result of Saab's decision to put it in this mode because of what is wrong with the car. If it is the latter, it is a very curious decision, since they are taking what appears to be a driveable car and making into a more dangerous to drive car by essentially having to floor the accelerator pedal to keep the revs up.
The second question is completely unrelated. Do you or anyone know how to reset the clock mode from 24hr to 12 hr mode?
