Hi Bill,

So I've spent a great deal of quality time under this seat - I can't get it out because I can't figure out how to remove the power cables, but I've learned a lot. (Ha, if anyone has any hints for removing the seat entirely let me know, my basement is much warmer than my driveway.)

Into each motor are two different wires - one with a flatter connector with no catch and the other a larger connector with a catch. I assume the flatter, smaller connector is the memory sender?

In any case, the flatter connector to the F/B motor is cracked in half and on the verge of breaking. But there's the rub - this motor still works, ableit in pulses.

The motors that don't work - recline and rear up-down - have the cables properly connected to them, and they seem to be properly connected into the memory box. I've spent several hours under it and there's nothing that appears unplugged that I can see. The cable housings connecting to each side of the recline motor are in perfect shape.

Does this mean I should toe-tag my memory box? I hope not, even eBay wants $125 used for one. If that's the case, can I manually move motors besides the forwards-backwards one? Could I fashion a tool to do so if my car didn't come with the one in the manual? All I need is to get it into an acceptable position for me - the previous driver sure wasn't 6' 5".

Thanks!
