1997 Aeros are slick. Price seems right for the car, but you'll be looking at another $500 MINIMUM for another motor just to get the car operational again....
The swap isn't rediculous, but its best to have a 5-speed complete car to dismantle and swap over instead of searching for parts here and there. I'm sure if you search here for 5spd conversion, you'll find everything you want.
The thing with this deal is that even if you get another turbo 5-speed car that's been wrecked to use as a donor, and you DO swap everything over, you're still going to have a T25, 200hp motor at best unless you happen to find a wrecked 5-speed Aero, or 1998 CSE that already has the TD04 and 225hp ECU you'll need to make a proper 5-speed 1997 Aero.
Plan on spending at LEAST what you might get the Aero for to do the conversion.
