for me, I would pay whatever I could talk them down to for the car, but only for 2 reasons.
1. I would have to have a free engine sitting in my garage ready to install. Don't laugh...at times I've had as many as (3) 1994+ turbo motors from wrecks, rotted cars and ones with bum transmissions.
2. I would install the motor and use the car as a nice commuter. My wife drives an automatic Aero (no "auto Aeros are for women" intended!!!), and it is a very nice commuter car that looks awesome and has the creature comforts only an Aero can give.
If the 200hp automatic drivetrain is appealing, and you can get a cheap replacement motor, then I think the $2,500 range all said and done is a fair price on a super clean automatic Aero. For myself, I need the 5-speed, and this car would fall into the fix-n-sell category.
