I have tested:
Electronics - Well, I havn't actually ran any tests. But the valve waits for a delay on startup, then starts ticking for about 4 minutes, then it stops for 30 seconds, then it ticks again. Just as I have read it should.
Lines - They are good (no clogs. I've tested both lines from the tank's one way valve all the way to manifold)
The rubber connecting lines on the canister/valve are fine - They are good (no cracks and not clogged)
The canister - It was good (cleaned the filters and screen for the hell of it),
I have swapped to another gas cap (thinking that this OBD1 system may be that smart)
What happens is that I start the car, and as soon as the valve starts ticking I get the CEL. I am running out of potential problems on a simple emissions substem.
I see four options:
1) One way valve on tank filler neck is stuck closed, and not getting any vapors at all to the engine
2) A very crappy pinhole leak is some stupid place, like the vapor line in the body of the car that is impossible to fix. At least I can replace the line from the valve to the engine :)
3) I have two bad used gascaps.
4) I have two bad used valves.
