Re: Need help diagnosing "throbbing" in front left of 9000 Posted by dbreid [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: Need help diagnosing "throbbing" in front left of 9000, Ari ![]() |
Hmmmm... I hadn't really thought about the ball joint, because it seems "rotational" related. I haven't had the front end aligned, but it tracks perfectly down the road, so even if it were off, I can't imagine it would be THAT far off. I also was hoping to isolate the issue BEFORE I align it, because I hate paying for an alignment, then doing Ball Joints, then going right back and shelling out for another alignment.
I also hadnt really thought about the bushings for the A Arms. I suppose a shot rear one might act like that. But it is weird that it doesn't get worse when I go over bumps, or clunk. A bushing that shot (allowing the wheel to vibrate that much) would likely clunk like wild when going over bumps, I'd think.
I am going to move the tires/rims around and see what that tells me.
Thanks for all of the good ideas!
