hello everyone, about two years ago I sold my 1992 9000T 5speed, because the car had 208K on it, and the constant and expensive TCS issues. I then purchased a 1999 Saab 9-3 SE auto. I thought I got a good deal ($4600) with 74K, But after two years of huge repair bills because of my hack mechanic (The Duke Of Saab) and and inherent design flaws,( front struts, rear chamber, turbo failure, DIC, ACC controller, sludge....) I would like to get rid of the Car. I have had every Saab model accept the 9-5 because I don care for the non-hatch body, and my 1992 Was by far the best one ive every owned. It was great on gas, cheap for me insure, and relatively easy and cheap to fix. ( I'm, in college) I was thinking of looking out for a 1991 9000 Turbo. I found a few on auto trader, that were local and seemed relatively well cared for. Does it seem like a good Idea to move to such a aged car from a newer one? I really love my 9-3 and have done alot of work and tasteful upgrades to improve the driving characteristics ( brembo rotors, open air intake, poly bushings, sport exhaust). But i really cant afford to maintain the 9-3 at the level that I have been. Does anyone Have any input for me? Or a 91' 9000T that they would like to sell or make a partial trade for? I have all my receipts and the cars overall condition speaks for itself. Thanks in advance for any input or info.
