Well, I have finally decided to tackle my first brake job (I have a 1995 CSE Turbo). Kind of nervous about it, but after reading some of the posts on here, I think I should be ok. My questions are several. I have noticed a softness in the brakes in the last month, and now have a slight shudder on hard braking. Should I just go ahead and replace the rotors and pads, or should I start with the pads alone, and see where that gets me. Is there an easy test to verify the worthiness of the rotors? If I should replace the rotors, I looked on partsquick, and noticed they list two Brembo front rotors (40 02 143 BB, 42 41 428 BB). Is there a difference between them? Finally, do the rear rotors need replacing at the same time, or would it be ok to just do the front pads/rotors, and the rear pads and again see how they feel? Thanks in advance.
