My car is a 1998 9K CSE with 180K miles.

OK, new Brembo front DS rotor is warped and pulsating again! Had it turned about 2 months ago and have had pulsating developing over the past three weeks. Both front calipers are newer Centric rebuilds from Eeuroparts. I drive alot of highway miles daily with many long braking periods for exits, hills, etc.

I also have all the parts to R&R the front suspension short of new Struts (not leaking), Springs or strut bearings (may be bad). I have new tie rods (moog), ball joints (moog), control arm rear bushings (Febi Bilstein), front sway bar bushings and sway bar links with new bushings. These I expect to replace very soon.

Here are the questions please:

1) Since I have driven with severely warped rotors before, what could that terrible vibration damage first? Tie rods, ball joints, front wheel bearing, strut bearing?

2) Is the rotor warp likely due to the Brembo product... OR, could any worn parts already mentioned above lead to warping due to slop in the system?
Should I have the rims checked where they mate with the brake rotor?

3) If the ball joints or tie rods are not bad, should I replace them anyway at 180K miles? The control arm rear bushings and sway bar parts are worn and will be replaced. I expect to put another 100K - 200K miles on the car.

4) Could failing front wheel bearings lead to warping? Does a failing bearing always make the droning noise? I do not feel any play at all when rocking the tires.

Thanks for any responses to these.

Todd
