It does sound as though these warped very early, doesn't it! Can understand why you're unhappy with Brembos but as I said, no problem with mine over many years of using them.
I'd normally argue that turning a rotor will make it more likely to warp again later, since you're removing material to get rid of the warped areas, so there's less iron to absorb heat under braking, and also you may get close to minimum thickness. Also, you have to get the rotors turned by a shop which may mean you can't use the car, while slapping on some new rotors gets round this and probably doesn't cost much more if you factor in the extra convenience.
I can see that it looks a bit different when you've only had them on the car for 5k miles!
SteveC (in BC) posted this useful link on bedding-in brakes - but pads and rotors usually come with a leaflet anyway, not rocket-science but will help protect your investment. This guy is talking from a racing perspective, you don't need to be too aggressive with road pads. Specially good advice is not to keep on the brake pedal when stopped with hot rotors, both during and after bedding-in.
Brake rotors are regarded as wear items these says, I guess.
