As Yaofeng said, it really is straight forward. The easiest way to swap your motor will be to pull both the motor and transmission out the top as one unit, split them on the floor of your garage, swap over the transmission, wiring harness, turbo, etc. then lower it back in.
With things going fairly smooth, and no major hangups, plan on a really long day to get it all done and buttoned up, unless a couple things go your way. It definitely speeds up the process if you don't need to swap turbos, and if you don't need to swap the clutch / torque converter (is your car manual or 5-speed?
"tricky", or general stuff you don't look forward to in the job are removal of the exhaust and removal of both CV shafts. Not tough by any means, but it can get interesting if the exhaust nuts don't want to come loose, and if the CV shafts are bound into the hubs.
If you plan on doing the job of just swapping motors and not fixing your loud one, I'll drop you my email and I can give you a pretty decent step-by-step for the job.
