tcs+automat - how to justify kickdown?

Hej!
I had recently changed gearbox on my '93 cse 2.3T. Car has tcs and automatic transmission (so the kickdown wire is pulled by a separate motor). First I had installed kickdown wire at approx. same position as it was with the old gearbox. The result was that when it was time to change the gear motor was increasing revs to max (without increasing speed) and only then the gear was changed. I think the reason for this was that kickdown was always ON.
I justified the length of the kickdown wire to MAX. Now the car got at least usable - when i accelerate at 0-1/2 throttle opened everything works just perfect. When I accelerate at full everything works as it should again. The problem arises when I accelerate at more then 1/2 but less then full. Then same thing happens as before - when gear is to be changed revs are increased to max before the gear is changed (without increase in speed). I think the reason is that kickdown switch at gearbox is changing to ON much earlier than it should. So the wire should be made longer. The problem is that I have it longest possible already. What should i do?
