I got a 1987 900 turbo for free.
Needed and still needs some TLC, but it is safe to drive right now.
Search Chaz on this BB to see my long list of things I fixed. Actually you need to search for the author Chaz, not the word Chaz.
The driver's door didn't want to open and needed to be opened and fixed and closed back up. The engine needed a head gasket. The A/C compressor needs replacing. The brake switch had a short and killed an 85 dollar battery. The door courtesy light driver's side needed replacing, there was a leak I finally hunted down and killed. It needs gas struts to keep the hood and hatch open, etc, etc, etc...
So what? I have invested no more than 300 into the car and it is a runner that is safe for the family. If it dies, we will walk away.
Wifey don't drive yet, but we shall see. I have sold or am selling all my other Saabs, so this will be the last survivor. That being said, Saab 9000's are fast solid cars that are good in a crash.
Best,
T
